Aisha is a 2010 Bollywood film based on Jane Austin’s Novel Emma. The film stars Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Amrita Puri, Cyrus Sahukar, Arunoday Singh and Ira Dubey.

a promo photo from the hindi film AishaAisha (Sonam Kapoor) is a rich girl who likes to set up couples and match make. She herself has a hard time finding her own match and ends up going through multiple relationships, while her neighbor, and childhood friend, Arjun (Abhay Deol) watches.

Aisha (New Comedy Hindi Film / Bollywood Movie / Indian Cinema DVD)
Our Rating: 8/10

The filmography was great on this, and there are slight references to classic Hollywood films. I have never read Emma, or seen an Emma film, so this was a new and interesting story for me. Sonam really gets into character and this film takes you on an adventure through the lives of young, rich, and frivolous Indians (something you hardly ever see played out like this). Great for young adults looking for a hip film to watch.

Guess What? You can now watch this film on Hulu Plus
